Why Black Belt Comics Publishes Afrocentric Stories:

"The purpose for studying Black History is not to find out how great you were. It is to find out what mistakes were made that got us in our current situation."

Dr. Neely Fuller Jr.

Why is it essential we remember the majesty of Black history and how can we make sure future generations never forget the genocide of the African Transatlantic Slave Trade?

Both these subjects must be taught if we are to eradicate racism; the denial and deformation of a peoples history, humanity and social status, which survives as a belief because it is socially acceptable and unchallenged.

Teaching Black history is a weapon against racism and a tool in ensuring that the evil of slavery is never forgotten. We will know when it is not acceptable to stand idle when confronted with racism. With the pride and knowledge Black history instills, we can fight bias and prejudice wherever we find it.

Black Belt Comics was created to provide the enquiring reader with our stories written in an easily accessible form that increases learning and reading pleasure while delivering a crucial message.

Only by remembering can we prevent the repetition of history.
